Marie Bawden
Chief Executive & Nominated Individual
Marie Bawden has been Chief Executive of Castel Froma Neuro Care since 2015 and is responsible for the overall direction and management of the charity.
Having qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1995, she rose to become a partner of HBO, one of the leading regional accountancy practices in the Midlands region where she specialised in charity management and charity governance.
Following the birth of her daughter, Marie moved to a portfolio career; this included part time Director of Finance role at Castel Froma Neuro Care in 2009. She subsequently became full-time Director of Finance in 2011, before being promoted to Chief Executive in 2015.
Marie was the Coventry First Professional of the Year 2015 and the West Midlands Institute of Directors (IoD) Director of the Year (Non-Profit) 2017. She is a volunteer coach, scorer and plays in the ladies team at Leamington Cricket Club, a former committee member at the Midlands Women's Cricket League and has also held a non-executive role at the Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire Sport Partnership (now "Think Active Sport").

Elizabeth Jackson
Deputy Chief Executive
Elizabeth Jackson is an Occupational Therapist by profession. She qualified with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, in 2012 from the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), South Africa. She completed her research dissertation on ‘Validity of screening tools for activity limitation and cognitive dysfunction in patients with HIV associated neurocognitive disorders’ and qualified with her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy (WITS) in 2020. Elizabeth is a professional member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy, the RCOT Specialist Section Neurological Practice and the United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF).
Elizabeth has practiced in a variety of settings including chronic care, acute care, academic hospitals and specialist rehabilitation. The sectors in which she has practiced include forensic psychiatry, psychiatry and neuropsychiatry. Elizabeth joined Castel Froma in 2019 and has taken a keen interest in service development for the benefit of service users and the organisation alike.
Elizabeth values evidence based practice and using this to develop and evaluate a service to provide meaningful experiences to service users for optimal quality of life.
Elizabeth Jackson

Kylie Gates
Therapy Lead
Kylie qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2008. She is member of the Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
Kylie worked as a senior physiotherapist in the NHS before joining Castel Froma Neuro Care in 2013. Kylie became Therapy Lead in 2015 and is responsible for managing a team of over 30 therapy staff.

Alex Albu
Registered Manager at Lillington House & Helen Ley House
Alex started at Helen Ley House in 2015, joining as a registered general nurse, before progressing to the roles of senior nurse, senior nursing team leader, deputy clinic manager, and now clinical manager. He qualified as a nurse in Romania in 2014 and worked as a paramedic before starting at CastelFroma. Outside of work, Alex is a passionate beekeeper and enjoys spending time in nature and travelling.
Alex Albu

Nicole Fyfe

Nicole Fyfe qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2017 with a BSc (Hons) from Sheffield Hallam University. Neurological rehabilitation has always been a key interest for Nicole, with her dissertation relating to the Optimum Physiotherapeutic Approach for those with Neurological Conditions following the injection of Botulinum Toxin for Spasticity Management. Nicole completed her rotations at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust before joining Castel Froma Neuro Care in 2019. Nicole has a specialist interest in Spinal Cord Injury management and rehabilitation. She has progressed through the roles of Senior Physiotherapist, Physiotherapy Team Lead and Deputy Clinical Services Manager before joining the Senior Management Team in 2023.
Nicole is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN) and the Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (ATACP). Nicole is also Castel Froma Neuro Care’s representative at the Independent Neurological Providers Alliance (INPA).
